HORY SHET. Bro that is a crazy water sound intro. Really like what you did with the extreme reverb on the high cymbals before the bass comes in :D

Hey man! Really nice job you've done with the drums. Honestly, huge improvement in your arrangement and overall mixdown, you've got a really nice and easy listenable piece here. The melody doesn't actually get boring as you listen, which is nice despite it being repetitive throughout the track. I really like what you've done with that gentle reverse pluck string sound thingy... LOL I dunno what to call it, but it really goes with the melody well. The bass is nice accompaniment to the gentle yet firm drums, I'm glad you didn't sidechain it or anything or else it would have sounded really weird. Anyways, great track man, I'm really looking forward to any future works you've got :D Cheers!

FortressLord responds:

I have a new style now, I think it's my own, and it's very listenable. Can't wait to release my BRAND new stuff!

So thanks for the review, and I'm glad I managed to pull off a repeating song that doesn't sound repetitive.

Love those synths. That repeating bell sound is stuck in my head quite pleasantly now... Echoing piano that comes in around :45 is awesome. Honestly, really nice track, super floaty and atmospheric. Maybe could use some more reverb on some instruments, and in general is pretty minimalistic in track arrangement, but it seems to work out quite well ^^ Nice job, looking forward to the rest, and cheers mate!

*whisper* I'm working on Soulwind right now ;D

Kreyowitz responds:

YUUUUSSSSSSSSSSS OMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOGMOMG.

Also, Thank you, and yes, I agree I think some of the instruments needed some reverbs, but I gotta get my module again and I just wasn't in the mood to install it and everything so myyyeeh.

Anyways, THANKS! :D

Really nice meshing in some parts, although I'd say you have some trouble transitioning nicely when the chorus drops around 2:25 and some other parts. Right before has some really nice combos though, great job! Work on those transitions.

(As a disclaimer, I'm not much of a mixer/DJ, so take my words with a grain of salt. Keep it up man. Lemme know if you start producing :D)

NeonBeatzPro98 responds:

Thanks man that helped out a lot and we will keep it in mind for our next mixes and sure we will bro dont worry about it haha :)

Holy mother of all things bass

you've done it again. AGAIN. Great intro, really love what you did with the pitch down and acceleration with the panning voice clips, that was really nicely executed.

ON ANOTHER NOTE PLEASE FINISH WANDER BEYOND

Seriously - super cool song man. I really loved your percussion work - among my favorites from you. Keep it up, I'm keeping my eyes out for upcoming tracks ;)

This is a simply enchanting piece.

I can seriously imagine it as I'm playing a horror puzzle game... anybody think of Witch's House? >__<

Great work again. I can tell I'm going to be spending loads of time on your profile ;D

5/5 10/10 favorited and all that jazz. Cheers!

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you so much! It's kind of funny, because I put this together in an hour or so and was afraid to post it because I thought it wouldn't be well received. Then it skyrocketed in views over night. o_o

I'll have to do more work in this genre. XD

And DAMN I was not expecting this masterpiece when I woke up this morning.

Smooth, ethereal, inspiring. Improv too - I played jazz piano in high school and I occasionally dabble in college, so I understand how difficult improv can be and how awesome of a job you've done in this track. Thanks for making my day good sir :) You've earned a follow and a favorite! ^__^

5/5 10/10 all that jazz. Have an amazing day!

BlazingDragon responds:

And you just helped make my day, sir! Thank you very much. :D

I really like this one. And might I say that it feels pretty different from your usual style?

Tech House yummys. Honestly, the pluck intro was some nice work. From :00 to about :55, the pluck intro had a nice delay effect going on, although the transition into the percussion suddenly tuned the volume of the pluck way down, kind of a sudden transition that took some power out of it that could have been better left there. At 1:20, really enjoyed that pipe pluck sound - nice work here! Great reverb and delay. From there, themes collide, intertwine and repeat - nice medley of some real interesting patterns and synths. All in all, great deviation from your usual - I enjoyed :) Keep it up my friend! Thanks for the credit by the way, even though I didn't do anything LOL. Cheers!

FortressLord responds:

Yes it is different from my usual style. In the wait for the Solestar release I've experimented A LOT, trying Dance, Neural DnB, jungle, ambient, house... So this may be one of the best trials.

And I agree with all your points, and I should do something about the pluck volume if I return to this track I'll edit that part a bit.

Plus you did do SOMETHING. I used the kind of way you use plucks and more exotic drums as part of the music in this work, plus there's the general idea that you are one of the only House artists I listen to, and this definitely sounds more like you than Deadmau5, so I probably got inspiration there at some point.

Wow. Seriously wow to that person who zero bombed this... seriously dude? ~__~ My 5 star only got it up to 2 average T__T Tried my best!

Anyways. From :00 to 1:00 ish, the repeating sequence of the chord progression with strings and layered bass and plucks was a nice progression to the build up theme. What I really suggest here is adding a bit more background noise - pluck arps, pads, etc. it feels empty at times, but I did really enjoy this section. As for the build up at around 1:05 - single kick hit into the bass dnb progression, that was a bit anticlimactic. Enjoyed your bass design, although it felt out of place after that nice chord progression from the beginning. Really enjoyed the change up around 2:00! Around 3 minutes when the themes coincide, there is a bit of clashing between your high saw hits and your original chord progression, and it only goes away when the bass from the first dnb drop comes back.

Overall, really interesting piece - I enjoyed that intro a lot! Keep it up my friend :)

FortressLord responds:

All your good and bad points are handy.
You've helped me with this and I'll keep your points in mind if/when I make other mixes of the track.
Thanks !
